Once, when I picked up a book from the local library, the librarian asked to tell her what I thought about the book when I would bring it back. Well, why not write a few lines about all the books I read so everybody could see what I thought about it? I'm often also happy to have friends recommend a certain book or tell me this and that is not really worth reading. I won't comment about the tons of books I have read so far, but about books I read from now on.

An einem abend vor 25 jahren hatte sich Cynthia als 14-jährige heftig mit ihren Eltern gestritten. Zum letzten mal. Am nächsten tag ist Cynthia nämlich alleine im haus. Ihre eltern sind weg. Ihr bruder ist weg. Und niemand weiss wohin oder warum.
Das plötzliche verschwinden ihrer familie macht Cynthia auch 25 jahre später zu schaffen. Sie hat nie die hoffnung aufgegeben, dass ihre familie noch am leben ist. In der hoffunung hinweise zu erhalten, willigt Cynthia ein, in einer fernsehshow von ihrem schicksalsschlag zu erzählen. Danach beginnen komische dinge zu passieren...
Durchaus interessant geschrieben. Auch der Leser weiss nicht viel mehr als die protagonisten. Und es bleibt bis kurz vor schluss ein rätsel, was in jener nacht vor 25 jahren passierte, und vor allem weshalb.
Das buch ist unterhaltend und es kommt keine langeweile auf. Allerdings nicht so fesselnd, dass man abends statt schlafen zu gehen unbedingt weiterlesen möchte.
