Once, when I picked up a book from the local library, the librarian asked to tell her what I thought about the book when I would bring it back. Well, why not write a few lines about all the books I read so everybody could see what I thought about it? I'm often also happy to have friends recommend a certain book or tell me this and that is not really worth reading. I won't comment about the tons of books I have read so far, but about books I read from now on.

Eine wunderschöne Frau taucht plötzlich in Cade Parris' Privatdetektei auf. Sofort ist er angetan von ihr. Aber sie weiss selber nicht, wer sie ist, hat ihr Gedächtnis verloren. Parris soll ihr helfen herauszufinden, wer sie ist. Die wichtigsten Hinweise, welche sie liefern kann, sind eine Tasche voll Geld und ein sehr wertvoller Diamant.
Obwohl Cade Parris Privatdetektiv ist, handelt es sich nicht um einen Kriminalroman. Dieser Aspekt, wie auch die ganze Suche nach der Identität der holden Unbekannten, erweist sich als Nebensache. Das Buch ist viel mehr eine Liebesgeschichte. Es liest sich flüssig ist aber sehr leichte Lektüre; weder tiefgründig, noch sonderlich fesselnd. In Ordnung um einfach was zu lesen ohne viel zu überlegen. Offensichtlich gibt es noch mindestens zwei Bücher, die diese Geschichte weiterführen; ich verspüre aber momentan keinen Drang, diese zu kaufen...
